Current Sermon Series: 2 Samuel - The Rise of the King

We are currently in a series of sermons from the book of 2 Samuel. 2 Samuel is about David’s rise to power as God’s anointed king over God’s chosen people. David’s having been anointed doesn’t mean he did everything right—he got a lot wrong. Nonetheless, David was a man after God’s own heart, and through the Davidic covenant, God established the eternal rule of David’s line, with its fulfillment in the coming of the true king, Jesus Christ.
